Individual Emotion Coaching Sessions
As a holistic counsellor and mother of two, I am aware of the complex emotional landscape children experience in today's fast past culture.

Does your child have overwhelming emotions? Do they struggle to go to sleep at night? Do they have difficulties focusing or dealing with transitions?

Whilst these are all normal childhood experiences, there are certainly coping strategies that can assist children in processing these feelings and increasing their  emotional resiliency.

Processes and Strategies may include:
Utilising Positive Psychology values of Human Strengths, Resiliency, Positive Experience's and Emotions.
Sessions  may include Mindfulness, Breathing Technique's, Creative Expression (art therapy), Role Play, Identifying and Naming Emotions, Connecting Emotions to Body Sensations, and Parent/Child Attunment/Connection.

Potential Benefits and Out-Comes include:
> increased ability to self soothe, calm themselves down when caregiver is not able to support.
> increased awareness of emotions, moods and body's response.
> stronger connections to family and friends.
> increased self esteem and resilience.

Studies have shown that Mindfulness has the power to ease our emotional dis-ease, calming our nervous system, regulating our emotions, and over time, rewiring our neural pathways.
With benefits such as these is it any wonder that the importance of teaching these skills to our children is at the forefront of developmental research.

What is Mindfulness?
Simply stated, Mindfulness is being aware of and paying attention to the present moment. For children, in can assist with their focus and attention, improve their self soothing abilities, build emotional resiliency and strengthen their coping mechanism's.
I have designed a program for school age children that is fun, creative and engaging.
